DARREN WILSON (Captain)Age 22 Nickname - 'Frodo'. Has been at the club for a year now. Wicket Keeper/Batsman, played a key role last year as mentioned recently in the T&A. Known for his on the pitch tantrums with his dad. Value :- 12m
ROSS TODD(Vice Captain)Age 22 Nickname - 'Deaf Boy'. One of the longer servants of the Baildon 'youth' joined the club as a youngster and has been an annoyance to everyone ever since both team mates and opposition alike. Good quality upper order batsmen. Likes to get the scoreboard moving. Value :- 7m
PHILIP HILEY - Age 21 Nickname - 'Big Head'. Joined the club at the age of 15, worked his way up the Baildon Meths ladder. In and out of the first team last year, on his day a top order first team batsman. Philip is also evening league skipper. Holder of 2006 Most Improved Player following consecutive hundreds in 2nd XI and a return to form. Value :- 6m
DANIEL BATES - Age 22 Nickname - 'Long Head'. Joined the club at a young age, also progressed his way through the three teams. On his day a very useful first team bowler who can extract bounce despite his low arm action. Can also hold a very straight bat. Big things expected this year. Value :- 5m
DANIEL ATKINSON - Age 22 Nickname - 'Atko'. Joined the club from local rivals Shipley Providence. Has been a good performer for the club. Opening Bowler with good control. Atko is a walking wicket though at number 11. Refuses to remove Shipley Providence jumper. Has anger management issues often resulting in the appearance of 'Red Dan'. Value :- 7m
MARTIN WILDSMITH
- Age 29 Nickname - 'Merv'. A long servant to the club, a regular first team player. Causes plenty of problem for batsmen with his slow left arm. Can also be useful with the bat, when he can be arsed! Value :- 7m
DONALD BUTTERFIELD Age - 60 Nickname - 'Old Man'. Don is still a good first team opening batsman, seceraty of the club, prepares the ground for midweek and weekend games along with Bernard, the club couldn't run without these two! Value :- 9m
NEIL WILSON Age - 55 Nickname - 'Nelly'. Neil joined the club a year ago with Darren, a comedian in the dressing room and took some useful wickets in his first season. Still got pleanty of fire left in his belly. Value :- 6m
THOMAS FORSTER Age - 19 Nickname - 'Fossi'. Hopefully signing from Baildon CC, would become a very useful top order batsmen and first change bowler, played in our evening league side last year and recently returned from playing in New Zealand. Value :- 8m
SUNNY KULLAR Age - 19 Nickname - 'Sunwar' Sunny has played at the club for all the junior teams, he has become a useful club member, scoring useful runs and also turning his arm when needed. A good young prospect. Value :- 4m
SIMON BULLOCK Age - 30 Nickname - 'S.B.' Has been at the club a couple of years now, started off in the 2ndXI where he impressed, turned into an important part of the 1st XI. Useful with bat and ball. Value :- 5m
JAMES HALLIDAY Age - 21 Nickname - 'The ginger Prince'. Came from Hall Park with D.Wilson, didn't play to his full potential last year, although performed well when taking five for at Adel, once agin handy with bat and ball. Value :- 5m
DAVID BUSFIELD Age - 43 Nickname - 'Buzzer'. Dave has played at the Meths for many seasons following in the footsteps of his father Walter. A fine batsmen on his day, Dave like to score quickly and is a fine catcher at slip. Sadly Dave played little last season due to a dodgy knee and his dodgy golf but is looking keen for this season and will put pressure on 1st XI batters. Thinks he can still bowl good left arm over - he can't. Value :- 4m

JOHN BOTT (Captain)Age - 60 Nickname - 'Botty'. John has also been a long servant at the club, a very reliable opening batsman. Likes to think he is a comedian too. Value :- 5m
KASH MALIK (Vice Captain) Age - 25 Nickname - 'Elvis'. Kash was an opening bowler, until he got hit with a career changing injury. He has since proved himself as a consistant opening batsman. He is an extremely successful business man. Which he regularly informs everyone. Current 2006 clubman of the year. Value :- 6m
BILL BRYAN Age - 55 Nickname - 'Billy'. Billy has been at the club for numerous years, played in every team and still plays every Staurday, a very useful batsman. Difficult to dislodge. Value :- 2m
SAJ MALIK Age - 37 Nickname - . Kash's cousin, an impressive all-rounder. Bowls slow right arm and is useful in the upper order with the bat. Could play a part in the 1st XI next season. Value :- 9m
ANDY BOWER Age - 35 Nickname - 'Staying Power'. Andy usually plays a part in every team every season, opening the batting for the 3rdXI and gradually moving down the order as he moves up, a reliable member of the club. Value :- 2m
ROBERT GRIFFITH Age - 23 Nickname - 'Munch'. Munchy has threatened to quit the game on numerous occasions, but loves the banter. Likes to play 2nd XI as he gets a bat, but stepped up to 1st team level last year and enjoyed himself. Value :- 3m
OLIVER SMITH - Age:18 nickname - 'Smudge'. Smudge is a good young prospect. Stepping up to the 1st XI when asked last season. Value :- 2m
DAVE CARVER Age - 40 Nickname - . Dave is really a first team batsman, but enjoys playing with his mates in the 2nd XI, played for the club for many years. Value :- 4m
MT KAHN Age 46 - Nickname - 'MT'. Another one of Kash's family, a very good recruit last year, once again pushing for a first XI spot. one of the hardest hitters of the ball in baildon meths, 'has every shot in the book' Good with bat and ball. Value :- 10m
WINSTON CHARLES Age - 27 Nickname - 'Winnie'. Has been part of the club for many years, has been a 1st XI regular up until last season. Dropped down to the 2nd's and enjoyed his cricket, both with bat and ball. A fine fielder. Value :- 4m
SIMON HEGGINGBOTTOM Age - 35 Nickname - 'Heggers'. Plays a large part in the running of the club, also has played a large part in the second teams success over previous years. Captaining them to victory in the 2nd XI cup in 2001.'Keeper with hands like a snapping crocodile. Value :- 4m
GARY BAINES Age - 42 Nickname - 'Mr.Cricket'. A man with 'vast' experience very reliable with the bat. (wife makes a great tea) Value :- 6m
JONNY BAINES Age - 15 Nickname - 'Chatterbox' Has huge potential to be a big player at Baildon Meths. Reliable with both bat and ball, has a bright future (mum makes great tea). Likes a word or three. Value :- 4m
STUART BROOKE Age - 36 Nickname - 'Brooky'. Stuart has all the ability as shown by his few performances last season. Swings the ball at decent pace and is an effective attacking batsman. Sadly due to family commitments his availability is scarce and may well be again this season. Moans like an old woman. Value :- 3m
PLAYER PROFILES 3rd XI
DAVID HERDSON (Captain) Age - 33 Nickname - 'Herdy Gurdy'. Councillor Dave has been part of the club for numerous years, playing regularly in the second team, he has recently taken over the poison chalice of 3rd XI captaincy following a spell at the helm during the 2nd half of last season. He is a useful middle orde batsmen and fielder who will try to captain a very young team to success. Value :- 4m
PHILLIP WHITTRICK (Vice Captain) Age - 40 Nickname- 'Suburban' . Phil has been a fine club man for a few seasons. Caretaker of the school, Phil has captained the 3rd XI and has an uncompromising, attacking style with the bat, ball and in the field. Usually opens the innings and when his wicket remains in tact the runs flow quickly. Likes a motorbike and has his entire family working at local Suburban Style Bar in the village - come on Phil, get us some freebies or at least some service for Todd. Value :- 6m
STUART HERDSON Age - 59 Nickname - 'Sir' Father of councillor Dave, Stu has taught many of the younger element at Salts School back in the day. A useful all-rounder at this level gritty with the bat and tricky with the ball. Good geography knowledge proves handy when travelling to away games. Availability may be limited during first half of the season.Value :- 3m
DARYL CAVE Age - 16 Nickname - 'Daz' As seen in the averages this youngster has plenty of all round ability, excelling in all 3 departments in his few games last year. Will be looking to move up through the teams this season. Hoping for a full and successful year. Value :- 8m
ALAN BALDWIN Age - 45 Nickname - 'Al' Alan has been with Meths for a while now. He is a very effective left arm seamer, often bowling around the wicket Alan picks up more than his share of wickets when available to play. Bats well down the order no matter who else is playing.Value :- 3m
STUART JOLLY Age - 18 Nickname - 'Blackers' The Ian Blackwell of B.Meths bowls slow left arm and can certainly hold the willow in stylish left handed fashion. Potential for improvement with some hard work. Value :- 4m
DAMIEN JOLLY Age - 20 Nickname - 'Damo' Damien is a very capable top order batsman at this standard of cricket and we hope for a glut of runs from him next year. Bowls useful seam up also. Will wear at least one jumper even if it's 35 degrees (perfectly understandable -ed.) Value :- 4m
DANIEL BAILEY Age - 18 Nickname - 'Bailey'. A very useful wicket keeper/batsman, played half a season in the 1st XI the season before last. Got a lot of potential if he concentrates on his game. Value :- 4m
DALE TABINER Age - 17 Nickname - . A good young junior prospect from Baildon juniors who is adept with both bat and ball. Scored 2 fifties in his 2 innings at the end of last year. His season will be watched with a keen eye, particularly a keen 2nd XI eye. Value :- 5m
MICHAEL WATSON Age - Nickname - 'Mikey'. Another exciting young prospect in the 3rd XI from Baildon juniors. Bowls tidy and probing medium pace and is a useful, patient batsman. Has the potential to rise through the teams if he plays regularly enough.Value :- 3m
MATTHEW BAILEY Age - 15 Nickname - 'Matty'. Younger brother of Danny and again a batsman and wicket keeper, though thankfully quieter than his brother. Has a good temprament and the potential to improve on already firm foundations. Value :- 3m
NICK DAVIDSON Age - 28 Nickname - . Another good 3rd teamer with promise. A batsmen mostly but is also capable of keeping wicket. Plays football so appearances may be limited when the seasons overlap. Value :- 2m
SANDEEP SINGH Age - 15 Nickname - . More junior talent who featured in the under 17s bowling averages for last season and will look to push on when given the opportunity under Councillor Dave this year. Spins the ball miles, providing he pitches it first and his batting has improved with confidence. Value :- 2m
DAVE PAGET Age - 15 Nickname - 'Paget'. A junior with lots of enthusiasm and another with scope to become a decent player. Dave is a tricky bowler to face and featured in a club record 10th wicket batting partnership last season as featured in the archive. Value :- 2m
KRISTIAN HARGREAVES Age - 15 Nickname -'Kris'. Yet another junior looking to progress under the Herdson regime. Kris played a few games in 2006 and performed well with the bat both down the order and when promoted up it (due to an evening job).Capable of turning his arm over if required. Value :- 2m
ROB GREENWOOD Age - 15 Nickname - . Another batting talent from the juniors with potential for a useful season, depending on appearances, in the hands of the new skipper. Value :- 2m
ANDREW MORLEY Age - 15 Nickname - 'Morley'. Always enthusiastic for a place in the team, Morley played a few games in 2006 and has been a regular at nets. When he plays he's likely to bat down the order but is showing definite signs of improvement. Smashed a Yorkshire Juniors quick bowler for 6 with his eyes shut in U17s last year. Value :- 1m
JACK CARR Age - 15 Nickname - . Another junior to make his Dales Council debut last year and supplements the increasing player pool available to the club. Again opportunity may be scarce. Value :- 1m
JAKE WARD Age - 14 Nickname - . Yet another junior at Dave's disposal for a Saturday afternoon. Played for the juniors last year but is still to make his Dales Council debut. Value :- 1m
LUKE RHODES Age - 15 Nickname - . Another regular in the juniors and again Luke has still to make his Dales Council debut. He is likely to get his chance soon and he is a good lower order batsman and fine fielder.Value :- 1m
JAMES DUFFY Age - 15 Nickname - 'Duffy'. Also awaiting a call up for Saturday cricket, Duffy played 10 games in the juniors last season so there is no question about his commitment. Didn't score many runs but picked up a valuable wicket. Value :- 1m
CHRIS BURGESS Age - 19 Nickname - 'Burge'. Chris had an unsuccessful stint ascaptain last year which proved to be too much at a young age. A very talented spin bowler but sadly may have been lost to the club if not cricket alltogether. Value :- 1m
PIERRE De JAGER Age - 21 Nickname -. A very talented South African batsman who's a student in Africa but his parents live in Shipley and will often turn out for a game when he is at home. If he does play he is more than likely to score runs. Value :- 1m
ANDRE De JAGER Age - 19 Nickname -. Like his brother, a quality player, particularly at this level with both bat and behind the stumps but sadly appearances are limited. Potential for a real bargain if he's here for a couple of months. Value :- 1m
TIM JOY Age - 45 Nickname - 'Jonty'. Jonty joy has played for many years at Meths although missed most of 2006 with illness. He is a very steady bowler taking countless wickets through the seasons, mainly by tricking batsmen into believing he is doing allsorts with the ball when he actually just bowls straight. Permanent number 11. Very useful at this standard if he plays enough games. Value :- 3m
KULVINDER SINGH Age - 30 Nickname - 'Kully'. A work colleague of the skipper, he played a few matches in 2006.Kully bowls a steady medium pace which is difficult to get away, especially on damp pitches at the start of the season.Kully, as a Sikh, wears a patka which gives him a resemblance to Monty Panesar. He supports this with a similar body shape and with his batting and fielding, although this has been rapidly improving. Value :- 2m
DAN PEARSON Age - 16 Nickname -.Another product of Baildon juniors, Dan has the potential to be a very good player with a technically sound batting style and a lively, well controlled medium pace bowling action. The sort of player who can benefit most from the link up between the clubs, Dan will be an assett wherever he plays. Value :- 2m
CHRIS HOPWOOD Age - 16 Nickname -. Another Baildon junior, Chris has been a regular at winter nets and is a very talented young wicket keeper and batsman. Should be given a good chance in one of the teams this season. Value :- 2m
BERNARD GREAVES Age - 70 Nickname - 'Greaves'. Bernard doesn't play very often these days, umpires for the league on a regular basis. An integral part of the club off the field as he is treasurer(a thankless task), groundsman and averages collator. Value :- 1m
KEITH HORTON Age - 43 Nickname - 'Mr.Bulls' Keith lives Bradford Bulls. When he can play he is an effective batter and bowler at this level. His fielding is always whole-hearted and committed which often results in Keith filling in for the 1st and 2nds where he never lets anyone down. Scored for full evening league season and provided player support. Top clubman. Come on the Bulls. Value :- 2m
